The best thing to do about a belief in evolution for a Christian or an Adventist is to believe it in private and not rub it in anyone's face. It causes more harm than good in spite of fostering honesty. There will always be similar people who believe like you, but to burden loved ones or very close conservative or struggling friends with a personal belief in evolution, sounds vaguely like unkindness.
