Your comment s about Elder Wilson are very unChristlike. I will pray for your change of heart and to see how Spirit led this man is.

Greg,
Thank you for your comment and prayer. Both are deeply appreciated. I strongly supported Jan Paulsen, the previous GC president because of his inclusive and generous orthodoxy. Ted Wilson, though I assume to be well intentioned, is a Pharisee for the reasons I in numerated in my review.

Christ had a few words for church leaders like Ted who told people that they didn’t belong to the elect if they didn’t observe certain legalistic religious practices. The following verses are from Mathew 23. The entire chapter is calling these people out for their self-righteous behavior. Jesus pulled no punches. In comparison, my criticism is pretty tame, don’t you think?

Mathew
13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
