This “cartoon” moved me almost to tears, not just because Patrick McDonnell makes a powerful statement with words and art, or because he is one of the most gentle and kindly cartoonists regularly published. This strip required me to look at “them”, myself included. The words of a favorite hymn, “this world is not my home, I’m just a passing through”, comforted me. Andy
