Let’s treasure our 28 doctrines. In their clumsy way they have prepared us to love, heal, and educate worldwide. This Gospel that Jesus lived and died to make real is the solid foundation upon which Christian Adventists can light up the world and glorify the Great God of the Universe. Let’s treasure the 28 as traditional beliefs, not distracting, petty, legalistic, and dogmatic assertions.

I am a creationist. However, it is highly probable that I am alive at 65 because science rather than religious dogma has influenced medical and public health practices. The theory of evolution is simply a scientific, rather than religious, explanation for the physical world. It is nothing to be frightened of. The Gospel message of neighborliness and peace continues to be vital in the fractious, chaotic, and dangerous world. So, take a scientist, evolutionary or otherwise, to lunch!
